Josh Hall is a highly experienced British sailor who has competed in four solo round the world races, including a top ten finish in the famous solo, non-stop Vendee Globe Race. He has skippered racing yachts on over 30 Trans-Atlantic crossings. He now works globally as a Project Manager and Coach for other sailor’s campaigns, mostly Class40’s, IMOCA60’s and adventure yachts.
Podium places; mast breakages; rudder attacks by Orca whales; being rescued from a sinking yacht; dodging icebergs in the Southern Ocean and rounding the infamous Cape Horn are just some of his experiences.
Josh has managed builds, refits and training programmes for boats such as Hugo Boss for the world’s major short-handed offshore events – The Vendee Globe; Route du Rhum; TransPac and Transat Jacques Vabre.
Adept at public speaking, Josh can provide your sailing club with a fascinating and entertaining insight to how these racing projects work, the technical challenges and the human endeavours plus the dramas they all create.
